The Gurkha Museum Education and Outreach Programme

The Gurkha Museum maintains its collections and archives to both preserve them and to ensure they exist as an educational resource for visitors, schools and other educational and outreach groups.

We are proud to work alongside schools in Winchester and wider in Hampshire, and can offer both educational visits to the museum to school groups and staff educational visits to schools, utilising both our existing displays from over 200 years of history, and materials from our extensive handling collections.

We also value our ability to disseminate Gurkha history to a wider audience and so maintain a programme of offering lectures and offsite outreach to historical societies, educational groups and other interested organisations.

For all enquiries concerning Education and Outreach please contact the Museum’s Assistant Curator at collections@thegurkhamuseum.co.uk
