Project Kaida - February 2024

Increasing outreach, activity and education

Last month, Lauren joined the team at the Museum as the Community Engagement and Partnerships Officer.  This new role is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of Project Kaida, the redevelopment of The Gurkha Museum.

The focus of this role is to extend the Museum’s reach further into the community (beyond the Museum’s four walls in Winchester!).  We want to continue to inspire our Friends and supporters, as well as reach out and grow new audiences.  Lauren, assisted by Activity Plan consultants, will foster new mutually beneficial partnerships, to evaluate what we currently do and design an outreach programme.

Funded by the National Lottery and Museum fundraising, we will deliver a five-year funded innovative activity, education and outreach programme as an integral part of Project Kaida.
