Private Yogendra Tamang from the 28th squadron of 10th Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment talks about his experiences working alongside the Yorkshire ambulance service to ease the pressure on the NHS during the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic.

Operation GRITROCK

In response to the outbreak of Ebola virus in West Africa in 2015 British, Irish and Canadian troops deployed to the region to assist local authorities with medical and logistical aid as part of Operation GRITROCK.

The plaque on the left was hand-made for Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment soldier Santosh Gurung in Sierra Leone during his participation in Operation GRITROCK in 2014.
