Through the lens of a Gurkha – Temporary Exhibition
The Gurkha Museum Trust is proud to present Through the Lens of a Gurkha, an exhibition featuring the winning entries from the Brigade of Gurkhas’ annual photography and video competition. For over two centuries, Gurkhas have served the Crown with honour, and this annual competition offers a rare glimpse into how these incredible soldiers see the world through their own eyes.
This year’s competition drew more than fifty outstanding entries, capturing moments of daily life, service, and the striking beauty of the landscapes they encounter. The Gurkha Museum is honoured to display the winning works in our second-floor gallery, alongside our other temporary exhibition.
This is a FREE exhibition, although donations to support this and future exhibitions would be most appreciated. Discover more about the Museum’s redevelopment, known by its Nepali name Project Kaida with a display on the project plans. Through the Lens of a Gurkha opens to the public on Saturday 22 November 2025, runs until Saturday 14 February 2026, and will be closed over Christmas (23 December 2025 to 2 January 2026).
As the Museum undergoes major renovations under Project Kaida, visitors are encouraged to check our website or call +44 (0)1962 842832 (ext. 5) before planning a visit.
