Soldiering in Silver – free temporary exhibition
This new year, step into the sparkling space where courage, craftsmanship, and ceremony shine in silver. Soldiering in Silver celebrates The Gurkha Museum Trust’s stunning collection of regimental and commemorative silver. Every piece displayed tells a story of loyalty, bravery, and brotherhood spanning more than 200 years of Gurkha service and sacrifice to Britain.
From the 10th Gurkha Rifles’ silver hip flask marked by a First World War bullet hole to the majestic Assaye Elephant, and the Burma Rifles’ tobacco horn, this shimmering exhibition reveals the heart of Gurkha heritage through objects once carried, gifted, and cherished.
This is a FREE exhibition, although donations to support this and future exhibitions would be most appreciated.
