Experiences of Jungle Operations in the Borneo ‘Confrontation’
With: Brigadier Bruce Jackman OBE MC
An exciting and inspiring story of Gurkhas’ bravery and resilience operating in the most hostile of environments during the Borneo confrontation. Brigadier Bruce Jackman OBE MC recounts his own experiences as a young officer, commanding Gurkhas in dangerous cross-border operations, not publicly acknowledged until a decade later.
We are delighted to offer this lecture free of charge, however if you would like to make a donation to The Gurkha Museum Trust we would be very grateful. The Gurkha Museum Trust is a charity that relies on your support. Every donation large or small enables us to continue celebrating, honouring and promoting the history and culture of the Gurkha Soldier and their continuing service to Britain.
Join us here at 7pm on Tuesday 29th June to hear Brigadier Jackman’s extraordinary tale. The lecture will be followed by a live Q&A with Brigadier Jackman and Museum Director Dr Daren Bowyer.
