Burns Night 2024

Burns Night 2024 at The Gurkha Museum was a sell-out again.

Gurkhas have a long history and affiliation with Scotland and Scottish Regiments. From the storming at the Heights of Dargai, where the Gurkhas and the Gordon Highlanders fought together on the North West Frontier to Brigadier General Bruce’s famous visit to the Isle of Skye, the bonds that exist between Gurkhas and Scottish Regiments are clear.

With tartan, poetry and bagpipes, guests were treated to a fabulous three-course Scottish themed dinner, with a Nepalese twist and the obligatory tot of The Gurkha Museum’s Harkbir 1899 whisky.

Thank you to all the guests who joined us at the Museum, we can’t wait to welcome you back next year.
