Family Event

Journey the jungle with The Gurkha Museum Trust

Join us this February half term for action-packed, jungle-themed family fun

16 February 2026 from 1100 hrs to 1600 hrs

Step into adventure as you build your own jungle scene with LEGO, inspired by the Gurkhas’ remarkable operations in Borneo in 1966.  Let creativity run wild while discovering a fascinating chapter of Gurkha history.

Unleash your artistic side at our craft station, where you can decorate a foam khukuri and learn all about this iconic Gurkha tool and the many ways it has been used.

Set off on our family trail to uncover even more stories from our exciting temporary exhibition – perfect for curious explorers of all ages.  Discover more about the exciting redevelopment of The Gurkha Museum, known by its Nepali name, Project Kaida.

Little ones can also dive deeper into the experience with our dress-up station, trying on real Gurkha uniforms for unforgettable photographic moments.
