Celebrate International Museum Day with The Gurkha Museum

International Museum Day returns on 18 May, offering a chance to celebrate the powerful role museums play in preserving heritage, deepening understanding, and connecting communities across cultures. This year’s theme, Museums Uniting a Divided World, is a timely reminder of how shared stories and collective history can bring people closer together.

At the Gurkha Museum, we are proud to be part of that global conversation and we invite you to join us. This May, get hands-on with cultural artefacts, and experience something truly special as Gurkha veterans share their personal stories, traditions, and lived history.

The day will be a great opportunity to learn more about Project Kaida and discover how you can play a part in supporting the Museum’s work for future generations. Come along, be inspired, and celebrate the stories that unite us.

We look forward to welcoming you.
