Prayer Flags

Prayer Flags

String of five woven cotton prayer flags with printed design on white cord.

One flag of each colour – red, blue, green, yellow, white.

Traditionally, prayer flags are used to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom. The flags do not carry prayers to gods, which is a common misconception; rather, the Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be blown by the wind to spread the good will and compassion into all-pervading space. If the flags ever fade in colour, this means that the prayers were carried by the breeze leaving positive spiritual vibrations in their wake.

Flag size: 20.5×26.5cm
Full length: 162cm

Made in India.
