Winter Exhibition – Through the lens of a Gurkha

Gurkha soldiers are perhaps best known for their bravery and ferocity in battle. Arguably, their skill in combat is matched by their reputation for professionalism, presentation, and unique perspective of the world.

The Headquarters’ Brigade of Gurkhas holds an annual photographic competition that provides an insight into the photographic observations of Gurkha soldiers. Funded by the Brigade Education and Welfare Fund, The Gurkha Museum is proud to showcase the entries this Winter. View the winners and the runners up from the photography and videography categories in our recently renovated library  at The Gurkha Museum in Winchester.

The 2023 Winter Exhibition, ‘Through the lens of a Gurkha’, opens to the public on Tuesday 5 December 2023, closed over Christmas (23 December 2023 to 2 January 2024) and runs until Wednesday 10 January 2024.  Admission to The Gurkha Museum and the exhibition is free for Brigade personnel, Friends of Gurkha Heritage, and children (under 14 years old).
