Big Open Day – The Gurkha Taskmaster Challenge

The Gurkha Taskmaster Challenge

Bring your family and friends to complete the challenges set by the Taskmaster! Visit The Gurkha Museum’s gazebo for adventure, fun and heritage as part of Winchester Military Museum’s Big Open Day on 20 September. 

• Test your team skills to complete seven different challenges based on the seven Gurkha cap badges (engineers, signals, logistics, music, rifles, personnel and support). 

• The physical and mental tasks will be set against the clock – points will be awarded for the most effective solutions. 

• Your score on the leaderboard! Time is of the essence to complete the tasks and win the prize! 

• Explore our heritage handling collection before or after your Taskmaster challenge. 

About this family activity 

• Suitable for families and groups of all ages. 

• This is a drop-in activity – there may be a short wait when you can explore Nepalese cultural objects. 

• This is a free event as part of the Winchester Military Museum’s Big Open Day. 

• All children must be supervised by a responsible adult.
