Earthquake Engineers: Build, Code, Move!

This Easter, our popular LEGO and coding workshops are back, and this time we are commemorating the 10th anniversary of the 2015 earthquake in Nepal.

Family LEGO Coding Challenge
Easter Holidays – Tuesday, 08 April 2025
  • Build a LEGO house to help rebuild after the earthquake.
  • Code your model so the roof can safely lift off, clearing the way for rescue teams to reach survivors.
  • Explore the museum’s spotter trail to learn what a Gurkha soldier needs to carry out a successful rescue mission.
  • Discover the incredible story of Naik Nandlal Thapa’s bravery following the 1935 earthquake and his award of the George Cross.
Free admission for children under 16 years
10am – 2pm

The sessions are drop-in, but please note that admission and introductions to the workshops will be scheduled for every 30 minutes during this time period.
